Authors of articles published in JILWSD retain copyright of their work. By submitting, authors grant JILWSD a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish and distribute the article in all formats under the terms of CC BY 4.0.

Under this license, any person may freely:
- Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
- Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercially
Provided that:
- Attribution — Appropriate credit must be given to the original author(s) and JILWSD, with a link to the license and indication of any changes made

Third-Party Material
Authors are solely responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce any copyrighted material. Proof of permission must be submitted with the final accepted manuscript.
Self-Archiving
JILWSD permits self-archiving of preprints (before review), accepted manuscripts, and the final Version of Record in institutional or disciplinary repositories, with proper citation of the original publication.
