Publication Process
The JILWSD publication process ensures quality, transparency, and efficiency at every stage from submission to final publication.
Workflow
- Step 1 — Submission: Authors submit via the OJS portal at https://jilwsd.or.id/submit
- Step 2 — Initial Screening: Managing Editor checks scope relevance, basic formatting, and plagiarism (similarity index ≤ 20%). Desk rejection within 7 working days if criteria are not met.
- Step 3 — Editor Assignment: Editor-in-Chief assigns the manuscript to an Associate Editor with relevant expertise.
- Step 4 — Reviewer Invitation: The handling editor invites a minimum of two (2) qualified peer reviewers.
- Step 5 — Peer Review: Reviewers submit their recommendations within 21 working days. A third reviewer is invited in cases of conflicting recommendations.
- Step 6 — Editorial Decision: Editor-in-Chief makes a final decision: Accept / Minor Revision / Major Revision / Reject.
- Step 7 — Revision: Authors receive the decision letter and reviewer comments; revision period is 14–30 days depending on revision scope.
- Step 8 — Re-review: Revised manuscripts may undergo re-review by original reviewers or the handling editor.
- Step 9 — Copyediting & Proofreading: Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting. Authors review and approve the final galley proof.
- Step 10 — Production & Publication: Articles are assigned a DOI, formatted in PDF/HTML, and published Online First before issue assignment.
